Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+, all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen for June 18-24, 2007.
News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm stayed strong at #3 with an average minute audience of 1.221 million viewers (down from 1.235 million on the previous week’s national chart). CTV’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm kept #8 with 926,000 (down from 960,000). Global’s National at 5:30 pm climbed two spots to #11 with 856,000 (up from 847,000), while News Hour at 6 pm jumped three spots to #12 with 841,000 (up from 827,000). CTV National Newsat 11 pm fell two spots to #19 with 702,000 (down from 741,000). CBC’s National News at 10 pm fell 11 spots to #29 with 584,000 (down from 696,000). Global’s Entertainment Tonight at 7:30 hit the chart at #30 with 573,000, while the net’s The Young & the Restless fell one spot to #20 with 684,000 (down from 696,000).
Monday: CTV’s Canadian Idol at 8 pm, for Monday and Tuesday, averaged 1.359 million viewers and fell from the top spot to #2 on the chart. The net’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm raked in 1.159 million (up from 1.106 million) and fell one spot to #5. CTV’s Criminal Minds at 9 pm hit the Monday night ranks at #9 on the chart with 923,000 viewers.
Tuesday: Global’s House at 9 pm climbed one spot to #13 with 837,000 (down from 1.072 million). Other than House, the only other show to hit the Top 30 was the Monday/Tuesday airing of Canadian Idol (see Monday notes) – which saw its audience drop from 1.556 million on the previous week’s chart to 1.359 million on this one.
Wednesday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance? won the night, raking in 1.166 million viewers (down from 1.258 million) from 8-10 pm and falling one spot to #4. Global’s American Inventor at 9 pm earned 641,000 (up from 616,000) and climbed four spots to #23.
Thursday: CTV’s So You Think You Can Dance? at 9 pm hit #1 with 1.419 million viewers (up from 967,000) with no competition in that time slot. The 8 pm battle went to Global’s Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader?, which shot up seven spots to #6 with 1.086 million (up from 894,000), while CTV’s Pirate Master climbed eight spots to #14 with 824,000 (up from 674,000). At 10 pm, CTV’s CSI earned 803,000 (down from 929,000) and fell five spots to #15, while Global’s Shark jumped six spots to #22 with 643,000 (up from 571,000).
Friday: Global’s Bones at 8 pm won the night, hitting the chart at #24 with 634,000 viewers. The net’s Numb3rs at 10 pm won that time slot with 614,000 viewers at #26 against CTV’s Law & Order: CI, which earned 595,000 and hit #28.
Saturday: CTV’s W-Five at 7 pm hit #17 with 738,000 viewers. The net’s America’s Got Talent at 8 pm kept 619,000 and earned #25.
Sunday: Law & Order: SVU on CTV at 10 pm won the night with 929,000 viewers (down from 947,000), climbing two spots to #7. Global’s The Simpsons at 8 pm climbed 13 spots to #10 with 878,000 (up from 644,000). CTV’s Cold Case at 9 pm fell 12 spots to #18 with 724,000 (down from 995,000). Global’s Family Guy at 9 pm climbed nine spots to #21 with 681,000 (up from 528,000), while the show’s 9:30 pm airing hit #27 with 605,000.
