Dysfunctional dating satire bows Valentine’s Day

Alliance Atlantis' Showcase originally planned to bring Lovespring International to Canada for January, but the premiere date was pushed forward to Valentine's Day. Lovespring International will bring dysfunctional dating to Showcase in the Wednesday 10 pm time slot, starting on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14th for any of you who need a reminder to order flowers). The comedy, which first aired in June 2006 on Lifetime in the US, has a premise made for guest appearances: the main characters run a dating service staffed with romantically-challenged relationship counselors.

Executive producer Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) himself guests in the first episode, and other appearances include Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live), Dave Foley (Kids In The Hall), Alanis Morrisette and Sean Hayes (Will & Grace). The show’s main cast members include Jane Lynch (The 40-Year-Old-Virgin) and Jennifer Elise Cox (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas).
