Canwest unites digital teams

The corp's publishing and broadcast digital media assets will come together under a unified strategy.

Canwest is bringing its publishing and broadcast digital teams together under a single leadership. All of Canwest’s broadcast digital media assets will now fall under the media giant’s SVP and GM of Canwest Publishing Digital Media, Graham Moysey, in a new expanded role.

The move comes after recent cross-platform initiatives including a Holiday Guide showcasing content from its broadcast and publishing digital assets which was cross-promoted through various properties.

‘The way our content is consumed continues to evolve,’ said Moysey in a release to media yesterday. ‘Advertisers and audiences challenge us to be more innovative. A consistent digital strategy across broadcast and publishing is paramount to realizing both synergies and scale.’

Canwest’s integrated multi-platform assets span more than 80 websites, on-the-go mobile offerings, video on demand and podcasts.
