CHUM Radio cuts station headcount by 40
Another staff reduction confirmed, as part of the ongoing economic downturn.
CTV’s CHUM Radio has just announced the elimination of 40 positions, 17 of which will be terminated, with 23 remaining vacant.
In a release, CHUM Radio president Chris Gordon, like many execs in these days, attributed the decision to a decline in ad revs due to the economy.
Effective immediately, the staff reductions will impact stations in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, London, Toronto, Peterborough/Lindsay, Ottawa and Montreal.
