The Shaw Media-owned Food Network Canada is launching its fall season with six new shows, including the Loblaw-sponsored Recipe to Riches.

Produced in partnership with President’s Choice, Recipe to Riches gives Canadians the opportunity to win $250,000 and see their recipe in Loblaw stores across the country. Featuring Capital C CEO Tony Chapman as a judge and former star of The Bachelor Jesse Palmer as host, Recipe to Riches premieres Wednesday Oct. 19 at 9 p.m, and repeats on Saturday at 8 p.m. on Global.

Also new this fall is Jamie’s Meals in Minutes, the latest show from celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. Premiering Monday Aug. 29 at 5 p.m., the show will teach viewers how to cook a complete meal in the time it would usually take to make one dish.

Sugar High (pictured), premiering on Wednesday Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. features Ace of Cakes star Duff Goldman taking a roadtrip to find the best desserts in the US, from baked Alaska to Boston cream pie.

Taking things to the Jersey Shore, Tough Cookies features local family-run biscuit shop Crazy Susan’s Cookie Company. The show premieres on Wednesday Aug. 31 at 9:30 p.m.

New show Crave features food journalist and critic Troy Johnston taking viewers around the world to show the origins of famous culinary dishes.

Last on the new show list is Heat Seekers, which features two chefs on a quest to find the spiciest foods in the US and figure out why people love to eat them. The hot new show premieres Thursday Sept. 1 at 9:30 p.m.

Food Network Canada’s fall schedule also includes 19 returning shows including Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Eat St. and The Great Food Truck Race.

A Shaw Media spokesperson says sponsorship opportunities are available for the fall season.
