m/SIX, a joint venture between GroupM and The&Partnership, has entered the Canadian market. The agency is billed as a mix of creative and media, with ownership being split between the two players.

Kerry Mitchell has been hired as the managing director for the agency. Mitchell previously worked with GroupM kerryMitchellagency Maxus Canada in the position of growth driver at its Toronto office. Prior to that she worked as a VP at Rogers Media, leading brands including Chatelaine, Today’s Parent and Flare.

Mitchell will work directly with m/SIX’s North America president, Ilana Nolte and The&Partnership’s Canada president, Christopher Andrews, in the new role.

m/SIX  was founded in London in 2007, and opened an office in the U.S. last year. The expansion into the Canadian market is the next step for the agency, which also has an office in Asia, according to a release.
