Tourism Toronto plans to partner with first-time or one-off initiatives that ‘represent substantial expansions of existing visitor experiences’ and are budgeted between $100,000 and $500,000 per project. The winning bids will be matched dollar for dollar.
The first of ten investments for this year through the Cultural Enhancement Program is an illumination by French artist Xavier de Richemont for the city’s annual Cavalcade of Lights program. It will run every night from Nov. 25 through Dec. 23 at Old City Hall.
Tourism Toronto launched its fall/winter marketing campaign this week throughout Ontario as well as Boston, New York and Washington, D.C. The campaign promotes holiday escapes to Toronto and features the region’s diverse shopping experiences as well as holiday events such as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and The Nutcracker.
