Nominees announced for 2007 D&AD Global Awards

From more than 25,000 submissions, 715 have emerged as hopefuls for the prestigious honour - among them, Ogilvy & Mather Canada.

London, UK-based D&AD, which has been rewarding creative excellence internationally for more than 40 years, has announced the final nominees for this year’s Global Awards. The 292-strong international jury selected a record 715 entries, with 151 eligible for the revered D&AD Yellow Pencil.

For its work on Dove’s ‘Evolution’ campaign, Ogilvy & Mather Canada landed on the nominees list, as did seven other Canadian entries.

Out of 29 categories, Viral (with 16 nominations), followed by Online Advertising (15), TV & Cinema Crafts (15), TV & Cinema Advertising (14), and Graphic Design (11) have the most nominations. TBWAChiatDay New York is the most nominated agency. And the judges’ favourites are US brands Skittles and Combos, and UK charity the Prince’s Trust, with four nominations each.

Judging takes place April 19-20 April, and the work of all nominees will be showcased online, beginning at the end of this month, at: www.dandad.org/awards2007.
