PHD hires new talent to work new biz

Recent account wins at PHD are now met with a roster of new minds.

PHD’s Toronto offices have a new VP group director to lead teams on recent account win Hewlett Packard as well as long-time client Home Hardware. Coming from MBS, Mark Wilson joins the team with over 20 years in the auto, home improvement, hospitality sectors with a focus on retail. Tammy Gardener, who was with MBS for nine years working on Canon, Dyson, Canadian Tire and most recently Rogers Communications, will join Wilson’s team as account director.

Also joining the agency is Tina Mandeya, who started working at MindShare in 2004 as a media assistant and was most recently at M2 Universal as a senior communications strategist on the GM Corporate account, is now account manager at PHD, leading media strategies for the agency’s long-time client Unilever.

Chris Bell also joins the agency as account supervisor on the new Scotiabank biz. Bell started at Bates Advertising and spent the past two years as the media lead on the Manulife Financial/Investments, Pentax and ED Smith accounts at Brighthouse Branding Group.

Other recent account wins at PHD include Elizabeth Arden, Via Rail and Yellow Pages.
