Transcontinental restructures

Media sector activities are being consolidated, and digital operations are now helmed by new management.

Transcontinental is consolidating its business and consumer publishing activities in a move that will see its media division helmed by new management. The company announced this week that the son of the chair of Transcontinental, Pierre Marcoux, has been appointed as senior VP of a new Business and Consumer Solutions Group, located at its Toronto office.

Marcoux, who will be keeping his role as Les Affaires editor, replaces senior VP and GM consumer publishing, John Clinton. Former Canadian president and CEO of Grey Advertising in Toronto and former chairman of JWT Canada, Clinton is moving over to head up Transcon digital operations as senior VP of New Medias and Digital Solutions Group (formerly called Digital Solutions Group).

As part of the new structure, recent appointments also include Stéphane Lavallée as VP of business solutions and Reneault Poliquin as SVP sales and 360 solutions.
