Canucks earn four Festival of Media nods

Canadian media agencies OMD and PHD receive recognition for their work in four categories.

This year’s Festival of Media Awards are just around the corner and two Canadian media agencies – OMD and PHD Canada – have been nominated four times.

OMD’s ‘Guru’ campaign for Doritos led the pack with two nominations, one for Best Consumer Driven campaign, and the other for Best Consumer Strategy. Other credited partners include BBDO Canada, Proximity Canada, Fleishman-Hillard Canada, Capital C, CTVglobemedia, Astral Media, Facebook, YouTube, Videoegg and Têtes à claques.

Also up for Best Consumer Strategy was Touché! PHD’s ‘Abrupt Endings’ for Suicide Action Montreal, with credits shared by Sid Lee and Astral Media.

In the Best Communication/Entertainment Platform category, PHD was tapped for Becel’s ‘Love Your Heart’ benefit concert.

Revamped in 2009, the Festival of Media Awards recognize creative and effective use of media, as well as media owner innovation, and are shaped in consultation with the industry.

The winners will be announced April 20 at the Festival of Media Awards gala dinner in Valencia, Spain.
