Aegis Canada hires new SVP, group strategy

Toronto-born Sasha Grujicic returns home after working for Isobar in England and the US.

Aegis Media Canada has appointed Sasha Grujicic to the position of SVP, group strategy.

Grujicic’s role will be to stimulate groundbreaking and disruptive thinking at Aegis Media Canada and incorporate convergent business and strategy thinking into the way the company works with its clients.

Grujicic was born in Toronto and graduated from honours business and commerce at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2002.

He spent two years with Iovate Health Sciences working in its special projects department covering B2B communications, retail and point of purchase marketing, digital advertising and sales support. He then moved agency side to work for full-service advertising agency GJP. In 2004, he moved to London to work with TBWA as new business and marketing manager. He then joined Aegis-owned Isobar Global in 2006 as a planner and group account lead where he developed international digital strategies for clients such as Toyota, Google, 20th Century Fox, Reebok, Quiksilver and Diageo.

He has also recently completed an intensive graduate program at Singularity University in California, where he studied with leaders in academia, business and government to better understand how technology can be used to address the problems of humanity.
