Global sets Bomb Girls premiere date

The series gets a hot Wednesday night primetime slot and early-January debut.

Global TV is hoping new dramatic series Bomb Girls will blow up on Wednesday nights.

The new six-part series is set to premiere Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m.

The scheduling reflects Global’s high hopes for the series, as Wednesday at 8 p.m. is traditionally one of the hotter slots of the week and is currently filled by ratings all-star Survivor.

The series follows the lives of Canadian women working in munitions factories in WWII.  Starring are Meg Tilly, Jodi Balfour, Charlotte Hegele, Ali Liebert and Anastasia Philips.

Advertising and sponsorship opportunities for the show are available, according to a Shaw Media spokesperson.
