Million Dollar Neighbourhood greenlit for second season

The second season of the Force Four Entertainment-produced show is slated to air in 2013.

Corus Entertainment’s OWN Canada has greenlit Million Dollar Neighbourhood for a second season, set to air in 2013.

Million Dollar Neighourhood has been a huge success for the network and is one of the highest rated series on OWN Canada,” said Vibika Bianchi, VP original programming, lifestyle, reality, factual entertainment, Corus Entertainment’s in a statement.

The search for the next community to be featured in the series’ second season is being promoted online through the OWN Canada site and Facebook, where viewers are asked to post about their hometowns on the show’s page.

Produced by Vancouver-based Force Four Entertainment, in association with OWN Canada, the series, co-hosted by financial expert Bruce Sellery and clinical psychologist Dr. Joti Samra, follows 100 families in one community as they aim to raise their collective net worth by $1 million in 10 weeks.

Million Dollar Neighbourhood is the first original commissioned Canadian show to air on OWN Canada.

The first season, set in Aldergrove, B.C., premiered in January.
