Bob White honoured by NABS

The long-time volunteer will be given the Paul Mulvihill/NABS Heart Award later this week.

The National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) has announced it will be awarding long-time volunteer Bob White with the 2012 Paul Mulvihill/NABS Heart Award, which is given to someone who has made significant contributions to better the lives of others through the organization.

White, who currently works as a consultant and has held positions at ABC Canada and Quebecor Media, started at NABS in 1988 and held the position of NABS board chair from 1995-1997, returning in 2003 and working until this year.

“Bob White lives and breathes NABS,” said Jim Warrington, executive director, NABS, in a release. “His passion for our work and his huge volunteer effort over many years, in many roles, deserve our thanks. I know I speak for a lot of people who can’t think of someone more deserving.”

White will be awarded with the Paul Mulvihill/NABS Heart Award on Dec. 6 at the NABS Canada holiday appreciation party at the Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto.
