Digital investment and development company Square Victoria Digital Properties has announced Tomer Strolight is joining as its executive VP, helping the company to open a Toronto office.
Strolight, who was most recently working with Dragons’ Den’s Arlene Dickinson on the launch of Arlene Dickinson Enterprises and was the founding president of Torstar Digital, will be responsible for developing a Toronto presence for the Montreal-based digital company as well as expanding Square Victoria’s footprint across Canada.
He first connected with his new employers years ago when he was at Torstar Digital and Square Victoria was working with Workopolis.
“This new position allows me to do what I love to do, find companies that are doing well in the digital space,” Strolight tells MiC. “It allows the autonomy of a Toronto office that I am leading, but also the backing of an incredible company.”
In addition to Workopolis, Square Victoria Digital Properties also works with clients including ComFree/DuProprio and Olive Media. Strolight started in the new position on Jan. 7.
“We are pleased to welcome Tomer Strolight to our team,” said Pierre-Elliott Levasseur, president of Square Victoria Digital Properties, in a release. “Tomer, a recognized leader in the Canadian digital industry, is an outstanding manager and a seasoned investor and partner. His unique expertise in investment project management as well as his in-depth knowledge of our industry will be key factors in the continued development of our activities across the country.”
