La Presse is adding to its Toronto team, hiring Julie Ihamaki as director of brand management and strategy development for its group sales office in the city.
In the new role Ihamaki will be responsible for developing business opportunities for the La Presse+ tablet app, as well as all other platforms for the media company, with a particular focus on consumer packaged goods, retail, travel and fashion and beauty.
Prior to working at La Presse, Ihamaki was senior account manager at Rogers Publishing working on Canadian Grocer. She has also worked at Time Publishing Group and American Publishers Representatives. The addition of Ihamaki brings the total Toronto team count to nine.
