For each major market radio station, today is the day their number is up (or down), with the release of the latest radio ratings. The new PPM release from Numeris completes the thirteen week period covering Feb. 29 to May 29, 2016. Let’s take a look at the five PPM markets.
Toronto: Bragging rights at the top of the ratings heap go to CHFI-FM once again with a 9.8% share of hours tuned for A12+ (down from 11.4% last time out). CHUM-FM takes the #1 spot with women 25 to 54, delivering a 14.9% share (down from 15.8%) followed by CHFI-FM with 14.5% (flat with the last book.). BOOM-FM holds the #1 spot for males 25 to 54, posting a 10.4% share (up from 9.6% in the last 13 week book) followed by Q107 at 7.9% (down from 8.2%). Virgin 99.9 leads the way for men 18 to 34 with a 12.2% share (up from 10.3%) followed by Indie 88.1 at 9.5%. For F18-34, CHFI-FM tops the list posting a 15.2% (down from 15.7%)
Vancouver: 103.5 QM-FM grabs the #1 spot for A12+ with a 9.6% share of hours tuned (down from 13.9% last time out). Taking the top spot for women 25 to 54 was QM-FM, posting a 16.5% share (down from 21.2% last time out). ROCK101 grabs the lead for men 25 to 54 listeners, delivering a 13.4% share (up from 9.5%) followed by the FOX at 9.8% (down from 10.7%). The FOX is out in front for men 18 to 34 with a 10.7% share of hours tuned (down from 13.0%). When it comes to women 18 to 34, Z95.3 takes top spot with 14.4% share.
Edmonton: 102.3 NOW Radio rules the roost for A12+ posting an 11.8% share of hours tuned (up from 11.6%). NOW! Radio takes top spot for women 25 to 54, delivering a 19.3% share (up from 17.9%). NOW also tops the list for men 25 to 54 with a 12.6% share (down from 13.7%) followed by the Bear at 12.5%. For men 18 to 34, Sonic posted a 13.8% followed by the Bear at 11.8%. For women 18 to 34 NOW! delivered a 21.9% (up from 20.7%).
Calgary: XL103FM leads the way for A12+ with a 9.7% (up from 9.0%). KISS 95.9 is popular with the ladies, taking #1 spot for women 25 to 54 delivering a 10.9% share (down from 11.7%). For men 25 to 54, X92.9 is #1 with an 11.1% (up from 9.6%) followed by CJAY92 at 10.5% (up from 9.9%). CJAY92 takes top spot for men 18 to 34 delivering a 17.4% share. X92.9 is #1 for women 18 to 34 posting a 15.8% share.
Montreal: CHMP-FM 105.7 is #1 for A12+ with a 16.3% share (down from 17.1%) tied with CFGL-FM at 16.3% (up from 14.6%). CFGL-FM 105.7 Rythme FM is tops with the ladies, taking the #1 spot for women 25 to 54 delivering an 18.1% share (down from 18.4%). For men 25 to 54, CHMP 98.5 FM is on top at 14.8% share (down from 15.6%)) followed by CHOM-FM at 11.9% (down from 12.5%). The Beat 92.5 is #1 for men 18 to 34 with a 15.0% share.
