Nearly 2 million viewers tuned in to see the most recent of The Amazing Race Canada, giving the summer reality series the highest average minute audience of all single night broadcasts for the week ending Sept. 8, according to Numeris. America’s Got Talent and Masterchef followed closely in second and third.
The Canadian Country Music Association Awards and its Red Carpet Show drew viewers in western markets with an AMA of 85,000 for the ceremony in Edmonton and 70,000 in Calgary.
And, the premiere of NFL season had Montreal and Vancouver/Victoria viewers tuning in with an AMA of 41,000 in the Quebec market and 114,000 on the West Coast.
In Quebec, only La poule aux oeufs d’or was back in the top-five most-watched programs drawing an AMA of 703,000 while La rentrée TVA 2019, Bloopers TVA and En direct de l’univers drew an AMA of more than 1 million, each.
