The Amazing Race Canada finishes at the top: Numeris

The finale drew the most viewers of its seventh season run, while debut of Lip Sync to the Rescue resonated with an Edmonton audience.

The Amazing Race Canada was once again the most-watched single night broadcast across the country with an AMA of 2.13 million viewers for its finale, according to the Numeris charts for the week ending Sept. 15.

America’s Got Talent, with an AMA of 1.18 million, and broadcasts of Big Brother (1.17 and 1.13 million) and Masterchef (1.15 million) all managed to break the 1 million mark, rounding out the top-five. Still, Race drew the largest viewership across most markets during its finale than it had all season.

NFL Football continued to draw western audiences in the Calgary (53,000  viewers) and Vancouver/Victoria markets (117,000 viewers), while the premiere of Lip Sync to the Rescue Edmonton drew an AMA of 55,000.

In Quebec, it was a entirely new top-five with an AMA of at least 1 million for shows like Alerte Amber, Les 34es prix gémeaux, L’échappée, Boomerang and L’heure bleue.
