For the second consecutive week, Canadian tour operator Sunwing led the Toronto radio market, according to the Media Monitors charts for the week ending Feb. 9.
Sunwing purchased 839 ad units placing it just ahead of the Ontario Medical Association with 730 spots and Sleep Country Canada with 711. BMO Wealth Management debuted on the chart this week at #4 followed by 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Who remained in the #5 spot.
Spending slightly less this week, banks, credit unions and other financial services remained the top-buying category with 2,875 plays. Travel services and business consumer services followed as QSRs and live theatre, opera, music and dance rounded out the top-five.
Rising 35 spots, Bell Internet-TV hit #1 in the Montreal market with 463 ads, knocking CTV to #2 with 308 spots while Sunwing fell to #3 with 266 spots. Rounding out the top-five were Éduc’alcool and McDonald’s.
Travel services were the top-buying category with just under 700 spots as television and cable TV heard 488 plays and telecom bundled services hit 463. Restaurants and nightclubs rounded out the top-five with insurance providers.
