According to the latest Media Monitors report, governments and unions topped the Toronto categories for the week of Dec. 7 to 13 with 3,363 ad spots. Cars and trucks dealer associations made the list at second place with 3,175.
Of note, both were up from last week’s 2,281 and 1,768, respectively.
In Toronto, the Government of Canada led the list with 1,916 ads, followed by OLG (1,744). Meanwhile, from third place onwards, car-related accounts secured spots on the chart (Volkswagen with 1,159 ads, the Ford Dealer Association with 1,115 and the Toyota Dealer Association with 980).
Additionally, the University of Toronto Schools cracked the chart at #9 with 740 ads, while 1-800-Got-Junk?held steady, capping off the list at #10.
Looking at the Montreal categories, governments and unions continued to lead. The category had a decrease in spots for this week (1,540 versus last week’s 1,760), while both the wireless carrier category and Asian auto factories climbed.
Similar to last week, both the Quebec government (969) and the Government of Canada (492) scored the top two spots. Following them was Pharmaprix (434).
