NCIS encore hits number one nationally: Numeris

SNL and NHL hockey also proved popular in many markets.

Global’s encore presentation of NCIS (pictured) was the most-watched single-night broadcast in Canada with an AMA of 1.83 million according to the latest TV rankings from Numeris for the week of May 3 to May 9.

CTV’s police dramas, Blue Bloods and The Rookie, fell in line for a close second and third place nationally.

The Elon Musk-hosted May 8 episode of Saturday Night Live topped the Toronto TV rankings, followed closely by two tilts between the Leafs and the Canadiens. The SNL episode also made a strong showing in most markets, coming first in Vancouver and hitting the top five everywhere except French Quebec and Edmonton.

NHL Hockey also proved strong in Edmonton, with the Oilers and the Canucks taking the top spot there.

This year’s French-language TV awards, Le Gala Artis, drew in a strong 1.30 million viewers in Quebec, followed by TVA’s Spécial Bloopers, shaking up the Francophone TV rankings.
