The Winnipeg Blue Bombers aren’t the only ones with reason to celebrate following this year’s Grey Cup, according to Numeris data for the week of Dec. 6 to 12.
The championship match-up between Winnipeg and Hamilton Tiger Cats brought in 2.889 million viewers nationally for TSN, making it one of the highest-rated broadcasts of the year. It was also the top rated show across each major English-speaking market, including 654,000 in Toronto/Hamilton.
The pre-game show was also a big ratings earner, with a top five spot nationally, as well as in Calgary and Edmonton.
In Quebec, Radio-Canada comedy Discussions avec mes parents was the top-rated show, drawing 1.307 million viewers for this season’s penultimate episode.
