Hyundai kicked off a new radio campaign to lead a busy week for automakers in Toronto, according to Media Monitors data for the week of July 25 to 31.
Hyundai replaced the Ford Dealer Association at the top of the list, though last week’s top buyer managed to hold on to third. Public Mobile moved up one spot to second, while Toyota and Subaru each had a slight lift to round out the top five.
Unsurprisingly, this led to auto brands being the most active advertisers in Toronto, followed by live events venues and financial brands.
In Montreal, things were relatively similar to the previous week, with the Government of Quebec and Bell once again buying the most radio spots. McDonald’s Canada, however, re-entered the list at third, with Presti boosting its buy from the previous week at fourth.
Categorically, government ads had the most presence on the radio, followed by wireless and public service ads.
