Motorsports network REV TV debuted its new series on greener vehicles on Jul. 21, but it is still seeking eco-conscious sponsors looking for varied opportunities.
Extreme E is a racing series featuring all-electric SUVs in off-road courses.
The series provides a platform to promote the capabilities of electric SUVs while raising awareness about locations that have been damaged by climate change, making it ideal for more eco-conscious advertisers.
Mike Garrow, CEO of REV TV, tells MiC that the races represent “forward-thinking motorsports while still being firmly rooted in history and providing a fun and exciting racing experience.” Beyond being more mindful of climate change, Extreme E is also dedicated to gender equality.
The races also feature teams owned by Formula 1 champions Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, along with recognizable team names like McLaren, Andretti and Chip Ganassi. Some of those names will be instantly familiar to the growing fanbase of Formula 1 in Canada: audiences for races doubled in 2021, and so far this year, race broadcasts have regularly been a top-five broadcast across major markets.
REV TV is available to over 6 million households across Canada and features over 200 races from around the world. In the past, the channel has provided several types of sponsorship arrangements from digital billboards to branded entertainment “that strengthens consumers’ relationships to advertisers,” adds Garrow.
Social media activations and engagement with the advertiser’s content and events, as well as positioning alongside complementary partners are also available.
“We aim to position our advertisers not just as commercial partners, but rather as a story worth telling and exploring,” explains Garrow. REV TV’s target audience is 70% male and within the mid-20s to 54 range.
Sponsorship opportunities are now available for Extreme E broadcasts, as well as for REV TV’s other shows that feature all forms of high-octane racing, such as MotoGP, Monster Jam, AMA Supercross, World Rally Championship and IndyCar Classics. It also has news coverage such as The Inside Line (F1), Winged Nation (winged sprint cars) and Tuning 365 Performance Auto & Sound Magazine. Finally, REV Culture with Todd Lewis showcases interviews with motorsports luminaries.
