Air Transat buys the top in Toronto: Media Monitors

Meanwhile, Bell held on to its top spot in Montreal.

Air Transat is kicking off travel planning season with a big radio push, according to Media Monitors data for the week of Sept. 12 to 18.

The leisure airline’s new campaign had the biggest presence on Toronto radio stations last week. It was followed by an ongoing campaign from Ontario, California’s tourism board and a new radio push from Toyota. Mobile Klink jumped from seventh to fourth, while Subway, last week’s number two, dipped to fifth.

Meanwhile, Bell held on to its top spot in Montreal as it continues a radio campaign behind its internet service. Subway and Nissan moved up a handful of spots to second and third, respectively, while Desjardins began a new radio push in fourth. Air Transat also brought its radio campaign to Montreal, though it bought the fifth-most spots.

Categorically, banking and other financial services were the most active in Toronto, followed by automakers and QSRs. In Quebec, automakers were at the top, followed by internet providers and wireless carriers.
