Lexis Media rebrands to Medialo

The new identity is meant to represent a strategy that’s hyper-focused on local communities and digital evolution.

Lexis Média has changed its name to Médialo, which the company says better reflects its strategic positioning in the Quebec media landscape.

Médialo will continue to publish Lexis Média’s two magazines, Moi Parent (a parenting and motherhood magazine) and Mieux-Etre (which focuses on health, wellness and food), as well as its 12 local newspapers, including L’avant-poste, L’avantage votre journal L’action, Hebdo rive-nord and Journal la revu.

The company’s properties have 870,000 weekly readers, as well as 5.4 million unique visitors and 23 million pageviews online annually.

Beyond the properties it publishes, Médialo defines itself by offering integrated multi-channel solutions and a unique combination of conventional and digital products that help it stand out. According to Frédéric Couture, president of Médialo, the rebranding reflects that and the ongoing transformation of the company’s culture and vision.

“As the local media environment changed considerably over the past few years, it became clear that perceptions of the company had not evolved at the same pace,” Couture tells MiC.

“The new brand image will represent a new chapter with a hyper-focused strategy on the local community and the digital evolution of the media environment. Médialo’s core values of authenticity, audacity, ambition and love, together with its clear strategy, will propel the company to new horizons.”
