Toyota was the most active radio advertiser in Toronto last week, according to Media Monitors data for the week of Sept. 19 to 25.
The automaker’s dealer association jumped from third to first, bumping the previous week’s top radio buyer Air Transat to second. The Government of Alberta was in third with a new phase of a campaign meant to attract residents to the province. Telus and Desjardins Insurance began new radio campaigns in fourth and fifth, respectively.
In Montreal, the radio airwaves were very similar to the previous week. Bell was once again at the top, followed by Subway and Nissan. Air Transat and Desjardins swapped the fourth and fifth spots from the week prior.
Categorically, automakers, governments and insurance companies were the most active radio advertisers in Toronto. In Montreal, the top advertiser categories were automakers, internet providers and business services.
