Government of Alberta builds its radio push in Toronto: Media Monitors

Meanwhile, a group of brands began new campaigns strong in Montreal.

The Government of Alberta is showing no signs of slowing down its campaign to get people to move to the province, according to Media Monitors data for the week of Oct. 3 to 9.

The radio component of the government’s push to attract Torontonians was the most active campaign, up from third the previous week. Telus maintained its number two spot, with Desjardins and Voila each moving up three spots to third and fourth, respectively.

In Montreal, this week’s top five looked very different. McDonald’s started a new radio campaign in first, followed by EPRA and Loto-Quebec, which are also new to the rankings. IHeartRadio fell one spot to fourth, while Air Canada began its own new radio campaign in fifth.

Categorically, business services, banks and insurance providers were the most active advertisers in Toronto. Public service, business services and wireless brands were the most active in Montreal.
