Toyota once again buys the top in Toronto: Media Monitors

Meanwhile, telcos took up the most spots in Montreal.

It was a familiar sight in the ranks of Toronto’s top radio advertisers last week, according to Media Monitors data for Nov. 21 to 27.

Both the Toyota Dealer Association and Fido held on to their top spots from the previous week. Rogers began a new radio campaign in third, while Shoppers Drug Mart increased its buy, jumping to 22 spots to fourth.

In Montreal, Virgin Plus also kept its top spot. It was followed by fellow telco brands Bell (which began a new campaign for its internet service) and Fido (which went up one spot to third). The Government of Quebec fell from second to fourth.

Categorically, business and consumer services were the most active radio advertisers in Toronto, despite buying roughly 1,200 fewer spots. It was followed by internet providers (who increased their buys) and banks. In Montreal, internet providers were once again the most active, followed by mobile providers and business services.
