Nana Banerjee will be joining Pelmorex as its new president and CEO.
Pelmorex is the parent company of The Weather Network, in addition to running an extensive data management platform.

The new role is effective later this month, with Banerjee also becoming a member of the company’s board of directors. He is joining from Cerberus Capital Management in New York, where he is currently a senior advisor. He has also been president and CEO at education company McGraw Hill, president of data analytics company Verisk and VP of marketing at GE. In addition, he is currently a member of the board of the Field Museum and the Northern Westchester Hospital, and has also served on the board of Comscore.
His academic background is in mathematics, holding Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the State University of New York, and a master’s degree in mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology.
“[Banerjee] is a highly accomplished executive with a long track record of successful leadership across several global companies,” said Pierre L. Morrissette, executive chair of Pelmorex’s board of directors. “He offers the right balance of vision and strategic depth, while aligning with our values and culture.”
Banerjee takes over a roles previously held by Sam Sebastian, who left the company in the fall to become VP and Canadian country manager for Google’s cloud services division.
