After dipping slightly to the #2 spot last week, McDonald’s is once again the most active radio advertiser in Canada, according to media monitoring data from AdEase for July 24 to 30.

The QSR is continuing to promote its breakfast menu, but also began a new campaign for a promotion on its ice cream and milkshakes.

Rogers moved into the second-place spot nationally as it continues a campaign for its business services. Spence Diamonds, Toyota, Nissan and Wendy’s also continued their recent radio pushes, while Virgin Plus jumped up the rankings with radio ads as part of its recently launched new brand platform.

Though it only landed in the top ten in Quebec City, Amazon was eighth nationally with a new back-to-school campaign.

Categorically, QSRs were once again the most active group of advertisers nationally by a significant margin, having roughly 4,500 more spots than dine-in restaurants.
