Pinterest recently hosted its third annual global advertiser summit, Pinterest Presents, where the social platform announced new products and features for advertisers and agencies.
“We are innovating faster than ever before with a robust slate of relevant, personalized products to reach consumers with intent, and we’re building with the goal to be the industry’s best full-funnel solution,” said Bill Watkins, Pinterest’s chief revenue officer.
“We’ve made Pinterest more measurable from first impression to last click and we’re excited to share more about our new products that span the consumer journey, all in a more positive place online.”
First up, Showcase ads is a new interactive tool that allows users to preview and explore a brand’s content by swiping through images and discovering things like seasonal looks, mini recipe books or a car’s unique features.
The platform also launched Premiere Spotlight on search and home feed, which Pinterest is calling a premium, exclusive placement for promoting campaigns. Quiz ads offer a quiz experience that leads consumers to more personalized ideas, helping them move toward making a brand purchase.
Creative Studio is a tool that facilitates self-service custom design, letting brands generate lifestyle imagery for product Pins. Brands add their Pin link, select the prompts that match their need, and Creative Studio will then generate a selection of custom background images.
Specifically for agencies, Pinterest also announced improvements to its automated business tools to help manage their clients’ presence on Pinterest, including the platform’s Business Manager, which helps advertisers automate workstreams and campaigns.
