Super Channel has partnered with LG Channels to launch two of its FAST channels on the streaming service.
Hearties Channel focuses on romance, family and community, featuring series like When Calls the Heart (pictured), Heartland and Chesapeake Shores. Uncovered Channel covers true crime, science and history, including shows like Finally Caught, Cruise Ship Killers and Almost Unsolved, as well as docu-series such as Deadly Science, Mysteries of the Ancient Dead and Secret Societies: In the Shadows.
“We’ve been rolling out our FAST channels in collaboration with platform partners since last fall, and we’re excited to keep extending opportunities to Canadians to immerse themselves in the great content Super Channel has to offer,” said Don McDonald, president and CEO at Super Channel. “Our recent partnership with LG Channels highlights our commitment to working with all partners that are as committed to Canadian audiences as we are, in addition to offering advertisers fresh avenues to engage with their target audience.”
Super has also released Hearties and Uncovered on other streaming services such as Plex, Tubi and Xumo Play. Last November, the company also launched its FAST channels Fuse, Heart and Home and Vault on Fubo’s Canadian offering. More than 1,600 hours of programming were added to the platform.
LG Channels, which is available on LG Smart TVs, features over 300 channels with live and on-demand programming, including movies, series, news, sports and kids content. The deal with Super follows the partnership the company signed last month with Bell Media to add 10 English- and French-language FAST channels to its lineup.
