Tangerine Bank is using Pinterest to help consumers looking to climb the financial milestone ladder, no matter how big or small their goals. The choice of Pinterest for the campaign is based on the Pinterest Predicts Trend, “inchstones.” While large money milestones, like buying a home or paying down a student loan, can be daunting, breaking goals down into smaller inchstones makes the goals more manageable and achievable.
Pinterest says Canadians are turning to the platform for personal finance inspiration with searches for Bi-Weekly Savings challenge up by 78% and searches for Money Vision Board 48%. To take advantage of these insights, throughout July, Tangerine is running Pinterest Predicts inchstone assets on the home feed and search landing page to redefine financial goal setting and celebrate mini-achievements. The campaign runs in English and French.
Pinterest says brands are increasingly leaning into Pinterest Predicts Trends because trends are seen to start earlier and last longer on Pinterest. Tangerine Bank will be leveraging a Trend Badge during this campaign.
Natalie Jones, chief marketing officer of Tangerine Bank, says “We know that Pinterest is a destination where people go to plan for moments big and small, so we wanted to show up for those planners in a way that resonated. In today’s world, saving for bigger financial goals can seem out of reach, but tackling smaller milestones can make a big impact over time – that’s why the inchstone trend really clicked with us. We are thrilled to be working with Pinterest to reach the right audience and help Pinners plan for all of their financial milestones, big or small.”
