Montreal-based Groupe V Media has appointed Brigitte Vincent its new VP of content, effective Oct. 10.
Vincent will lead the direction, programming and content teams for the group’s brands, including its conventional television network V, specialty channels MAX and MusiquePlus, plus noovo.ca. She joins Groupe V from Corus where she served as VP of programming and content and led the Historia and Séries + channels.
Prior to joining Corus in 2008, Vincent was director of original programs and Canadian acquisitions at Astral Media.
This year, V added series like La grande évasion (Prison Break), Intemporel (Timeless), Pure and Bellevue to its lineup, alongside originals such as weeknight talk show En mode Salvail.
“Groupe V Média is investing more than ever in content and has placed it at the heart of its business strategy,” president and CEO Maxime Rémillard said in a release, adding that Vincent’s more than 25 years in the industry will help the company distinguish itself from its competition.
