BMO Bank of Montreal entered Toronto’s radio buying charts with a bang. The financial institution took the top buying spot with the Media Monitors report for the week of June 11 to 17, with 1,428 spots purchased.
Last week’s top buyer, OLG, slid to #2 with 1,125 spots purchased.
Rogers stayed put at #3 from the previous week, while the Nissan Dealer Association made a jump to #4 from #27. Rounding out the top-five was new entrant the Honda Dealer Association.
Also new to the list were Lexus (#6), The Brick (#7) and the Infiniti Dealer Association (#8).
The combined buy of Nissan, Honda, Lexus and Infinity put car and truck dealer associations at the top of the categories list for the week.
In Montreal, after only one week away from the top spot, CTV returned as the top buyer with 222 ads purchased.
That was followed by new list entrant Shoppers Drug Mart, the Government of Quebec (up from #7), the BMW Dealer Association (new) and Allstate (up from #8).
Also new to Montreal’s top-10 was the Nissan Dealer Association (#6).
Car and truck dealer associations were also the top category buyer in Montreal for the week, increasing their previous buy by nearly 30%.
