Ontario Tourism increased its radio ads the week of March 28 to April 3 to become the top radio advertiser in Toronto, according to data from Media Monitors.
The provincially-owned agency dedicated to increasing tourism had 948 radio spots, rising from second to first place on the charts, while Virgin Plus increased its radio presence to take second. Meanwhiles, Lowes, which recently told strategy that spring is its busiest season, jumped all the way up the charts from the 20th place spot to the third-place spot with 878 ads.
In Montreal, the Government of Quebec was once again the top advertiser with 418 ads, while Virgin Plus was the second most active radio advertiser with 395 ads.
Categorically, businesses and consumer services, cars and truck dealers, and banks had the biggest presence on Toronto radio, while wireless carriers, banks, diagnostic and medical services were the most active in Montreal.
