Rogers Sports & Media introduces self-serve ad platform

The new service will give small business clients access to a full range of the company’s owned and represented digital properties.

Rogers Sports & Media has launched RSM Ad Manager, a self-serve advertising platform that will automate the ad buying process and give businesses with smaller budgets access to the company’s inventory.

The Ad Manager will allow for display, video and connected TV ads across Rogers Sports & Media streaming properties and online platforms, including Citytv, Sportsnet, SN NOW, Omni, FX, the Frequency Podcast Network and Véro; websites for Breakfast Television, Cityline and radio stations KiSS, CHFI and CHEZ; as well as platforms Rogers has Canadian partnerships with, such as NHL.com, MLB.com, AllRecipes, People Magazine, Elle Canada, Elle Quebec, Vogue, GQ and free on-demand streaming site Tubi.

Across its portfolio, Rogers Sports & Media reaches 32 million Canadians every week and serves over five billion digital impressions a year; the network available through the new Ad Manager reaches roughly 26 million Canadians monthly.

The Ad Manager also features a dashboard of real-time performance data, as well as reports providing info on a campaign’s booked impressions, delivered impressions, click-through rates and campaign spend.

Targeting options include gender, lifestyle/interest, age and location. CPMs vary depending on exact product, placement and targeting options, but minimum budgets for campaigns on the service begin at $350.

“We are making it even easier for small and medium-sized businesses to engage their customers through premium digital content and streaming services,” said Al Dark, CEO, Rogers Sports & Media.

Rogers worked with self-serve advertising technology DanAds to develop the Ad Manager.

“This technology allows SMEs to access premium advertising space in environments that offer brand safety and unlocks a new community of advertisers for publishers,” explained DanAds co-founder and EVP of sales Peo Persson.
