ABC starts up new digital advisory committee

The 11-person committee, with Toronto digital agency 58Ninety head Ted Boyd as chair, meets today to discuss interactive and emerging media.

The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) today announced the formation of the Canadian Digital Advisory Committee (CDAC), that will examine trends, business opportunities and its role in verifying and reporting interactive and emerging media.

Meeting for the first time today, CDAC will be chaired by 58Ninety Inc. CEO and partner Ted Boyd. Also at the table are ComScore Media Matrix president Brent Bernie; GM of online operations, Rogers Business and Professional Publishing Group, David Carmichael; OMD managing director, digital and emerging media, Gilad Coppersmith; ZenithOptimedia planning and digital communications account director Matt Devlin; Rogers Consumer Publishing digital division director and group GM Kim Machado; Canwest Digital Media SVP/GM Graham Moysey; Transcontinental Media online product manager Angus Robinson; the Globe and Mail‘s VP advertising sales Andrew Saunders; and M2 Universal VP director, digital communications, Peter Vaz.

‘The media landscape in Canada is changing quickly and ABC is developing new services and reports to ensure we evolve with our members,’ Joan Brehl, ABC Canada’s VP/GM brand leadership and innovation, said in a release. ‘The new Canadian Digital Advisory Committee will be a valuable resource for ABC members, directors and staff to pose questions and share ideas about how to best navigate this diversifying environment.’
