McDonald’s made a big push to retake its spot as Canada’s most-active radio advertiser, according to media monitoring data from AdEase for May 29 to June 4.
The QSR moved back into the number one spot across every major market, except for Edmonton (where it was already the top advertiser the week prior) and Quebec City (where it was second behind Centre Jardin Hamel, advertising its summer plant offerings).
Nationally, McDonald’s had roughly double the number of spots as Cora, the second-most active advertiser last week.
Spence Diamonds also had a significant radio buy, landing in the top ten in every market except for Montreal and Quebec. Specsavers and Capital One both began new campaigns with big radio presences, good for fourth- and fifth-most active nationally.
