Wilkins Media hires client lead in Montreal

Gregory McLachlan is the latest step in the New York out-of-home firm's Canadian expansion.

Out-of-home company Wilkins Media has hired Gregory McLachlan as director of client and agency partnerships in Montreal, part of the New York-based firm’s growth into Canada.

McLachan brings 19 years of sales and media experience to his new position. Prior to joining Wilkins, he held various roles at Astral, Bell Media and Media City, working with a wide range of businesses and media agencies. He also has experience in sales and marketing in industries such as retail, manufacturing and distribution.

“McLachlan’s extensive media background and deep knowledge of the out-of-home environment in Canada and more specifically Quebec will be a valuable addition to our team,” said Jon Selame, CEO of Wilkins Media.

Wilkins is an out-of-home specialist firm, working with both brands and agencies on securing placements across static, digital and programmatic channels.

In May, Wilkins made its first Canadian hires after it brought on two directors of client partnerships in the Toronto area: Norman Lang, who was previously director of advertising and ecommerce for Lastman’s Bad Boy, but also had experience on the sales and business development teams at Metroland and Torstar; and Ron Deschenes, previously CEO at rep firm Media Movers, who also held VP roles at Sharkfin and Hilite Outdoor.
