McDonald’s holds on to top spot: AdEase TV

QSRs had another big week overall.

McDonald’s was the most active TV advertiser in Canada for another week, according to media monitoring data from AdEase for Aug. 28 to Sept. 3.

Though the QSR was once again in the number one spot, the greatest share of its buy went to a new campaign for the Ranch McCrispy sandwich. It also continued to support a campaign for the Mighty McMuffin breakfast item.

Tim Hortons moved into second, thanks in part to a new campaign for its lineup of pumpkin spice products. The Brick was last week’s biggest mover, being the third-most active with a campaign for its “Tent Sale.”

By category, QSRs were once again the most active TV advertiser, with big buys also coming from Wendy’s, Burger King and Subway. The Brick, combined with sister retailer Leon’s, helped furniture stores come in second.
