PHD takes home Media Gold at 2023 AOY awards

Meanwhile, UM left with the Silver medal and Cossette Media snagged a Bronze.

Three media shops took home a prized paper metal plane at this year’s Agency of the Year awards. PHD took home the Media Gold, UM left with a Silver and Cossette Media snagged the Bronze.

The gala took place at Toronto’s Koerner Hall on Thursday evening, with more than 400 attendees from various cross-discipline agencies gathering to celebrate media, creative, PR, digital, and design work.

PHD Media was awarded the top shop for Sico’s “Honouring Quebec,” Dove’s “Keep The Grey” and Scotiabnk’s “Hockey Jersey.” UM landed in second, thanks to work with Movember, Boston Pizza, and BMO, while Cossette Media’s work for Telus, Elections Quebec and the Quebec Toyota Dealers Association led the agency to place third.

Decided by jury members from brands and agencies, strategy‘s 2023 Agency of the Year winners are divided into six categories, representing a new crop of medalists – some familiar, some new to the top of the podium – and can be found below, in winning order.
