TrillerTV’s FAST channel expands to Roku in Canada

The Fite by Triller 24/7 channel features combat sports and entertainment content, which is updated weekly.

American streaming service TrillerTV is expanding in Canada. The company has partnered with Roku to launch its ad-supported FAST channel Fite by Triller 24/7 on the AVOD service in the country.

Fite focuses on content about combat sports and entertainment, such as boxing, professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. Its programming will be updated weekly on Roku.

“The channel presents sought after combat sports events – many formerly only available via pay-per-view – that will attract new audiences,” TrillerTV CMO Kim Hurwitz tells MiC. “Also, it never closes; it is on 24/7, and that opportunity is there for consumers as well as advertisers.”

Louis Lewow, TrillerTV’s VP of distribution, says they are bringing the channel to Roku Canada as the country “has been the third largest global market for TrillerTV’s subscription and pay-per-view business.”

“Given that Fite receives over a million viewing hours a quarter in the U.S., led by its position on the Roku Channel, we’re confident we can do an impressive amount of hours in Canada via the Roku Channel too,” Lewow says, adding that “Canadian advertisers now have an additional top flight sports channel to use as a showcase.”

Fite has been available on the Roku Channel in the U.S. since November 2022. In October, TrillerTV announced that the channel reached 7.3 million visits and more than 1.2 million hours of viewing during the Q3 2023.

In Canada, LocalNow, Sports.TV, Plex, Distro TV and Zingo TV are some of the platforms that offer the TrillerTV’s FAST channel.

As of December 2023, TrillerTV had more than 8 million registered users worldwide.
