McDonald’s continued to dominate the TV market in the week of March 25 to 31, according to the latest AdEase report.

The QSR scored 2,413 combined occurrences, placing first in Vancouver and Calgary, fourth in Toronto and eighth in Montreal. Calgary was the market where the company bought the most advertising space during the last days of March (780 occurrences). The previous week, it also led the AdEase charts with 2,728 total occurrences.

AdEase also found that Ford dealers were the second most active advertisers with 1,908 total occurrences, followed by Leon’s Furniture with 1,641 combined occurrences. Other advertisers with significant presence during the week were Subaru, which recorded 1,360 occurrences, and Doordash, which had 1,260.

Save-On-Foods was one of the marketers that moved up the ranking the most – the online grocery store climbed 57 positions to fifth in Calgary and 43 places to tenth in Vancouver. Natural products brand Jamieson also jumped 198 positions to ninth in Montreal. On the category side, one of the biggest movers was chips, crisps, popcorn and pretzels, which rose 14 positions to ninth in Calgary and 23 positions to ninth in Toronto. Internet services also moved up significantly – the group jumped 48 positions to fifth in Montreal.
