CIBC focuses on travel rewards with Pinterest campaign

The summer-long campaign includes sponsored travel-related editorial.

To ring in travel season this summer, CIBC has announced that it’s turned to Pinterest for its new Aventura Visa Credit Card campaign.

Naturally, the campaign is focused on travel rewards, and is using Pinterest to leverage a Total Moment Takeover, centred on getaway plans, especially for European travel. CIBC is first to market with Pinterest’s new Total Moment Takeover, a strategy that allows the bank to sponsor travel-related editorial articles showcased on Pinterest’s platform during its Getaway Planning week.

The CIBC ads will run in English across Pinterest in-feed throughout the summer and include both static and video executions. CIBC chose lifestyle imagery in trending destinations, as found in Pinterest’s 2024 Travel Report, to connect with users at every moment of the travel planning journey. This full funnel campaign is anchored in CIBC’s core narrative, “The world is your oyster.”
