Dulcedo acquires AI-based influencer marketing app Node

With the acquisition, the agency will offer AI-driven experiences to brands and influencers.

Dulcedo Group, a Montreal-based talent management agency, has completed the acquisition of Node App, an AI-based influencer marketing platform.

The acquisition by Dulcedo provides Node with additional funding and resources to enhance its growth and operational efficiency. Node will gain access to Dulcedo’s network of talent, which includes American actor Javon Walton, Olympic gold medalists Karen Chen, Max Parrot and Sarah Nurse, and two-time Stanley Cup winner Alex Killorn. With Dulcedo’s strategic investment and resources, Node will also be able to accelerate the development of AI-enabled tools to improve the lifecycle of influencer marketing campaigns, according to the agency.

CEO of Dulcedo Karim S. Leduc said the acquisition of Node provides a springboard for Dulcedo to offer AI-driven experiences to its clients, influencers and other agency partners within its modeling, sports and gaming divisions. “By integrating Node into Dulcedo Group, we can leverage our resources to drive even greater success and expand our influence across new and existing markets,” he said.

Founded in 2019, Node was created to make influencer marketing more accessible by offering viable and scalable solutions to long-standing challenges faced by creators, talent agents, brands and agencies. It works a bit like an auction site for micro-influencers. Brands post a picture of its product, along with a content brief, and influencers apply to make sponsored Instagram posts the it.  It initially focused on restaurants, but later expanded to include e-commerce brands. Its technology, according to the company, has enabled more than 2,000 companies in North America to generate millions of social media impressions by linking them with micro influencers. The platform has worked with brands such as Kraft, Samsonite, Jarritos, and Marriott.

Leduc will assume the role of interim CEO of Node, while Dulcedo co-founder Armin Faraji will move into the role of COO, and co-founder Mackenzie Dérival will remain as CPO.
