BV! Media expands global network

New partnership with AdGent 007 offers cost-effective global geo-targeting of business-focused Canadians frequenting foreign news sites.

Branchez-vous’s ad division BV! Media has signed an agreement with US-based AdGent 007 to exclusively represent its publishing inventory in Canada.

Targeted to a high net worth, biz-focused demo, AdGent 007’s global portfolio includes NASDAQ.com, Telegraph.co.uk, Independent.co.uk and Guardian.co.uk. The move brings scores of premium sites to BV! Media’s English advertising network, offering Canadian media buyers cost-effective ways to reach audiences globally through AdGent’s geo-targeted ad server, which displays Canadian advertising to Canadians by recognizing the country of origin of each represented site visit.

‘With Internet usage growing globally, many sites – even more when they have a well-recognized brand – tend to get a larger percentage of their traffic from out of their country of origin,’ Patrick Pierra, Branchez-Vous! co-president and CEO tells MiC, adding that top publishers are seeing 30 to 40% of their traffic come from outside of their home countries, according to ComScore data.

‘Inventory on Canadian traditional media sites and on very specifically targeted sites is sometimes limited,’ says Pierra, ‘and Canadian publishers can use this to drive price up. We now offer an alternate choice to Canadian advertisers by giving them access to high-quality traffic that they could not use before to deliver their advertising.’

‘The upside for Canadian brands and media buyers is the ability to plan and execute campaigns that use premium sites that Canadian consumers are visiting,’ says founder and CEO of San Francisco-based AdGent 007 Cameron Yuill. ‘By buying Canadian traffic on international websites, Canadian media buyers can create cost-effective campaigns with high rates of effectiveness.’
